I'm kinda surprised to see there on no bids on the green 90C that is currently listed on Ebay (3 days left). It's not a perfect specimen but, with a starting price of $275.. I would think SOMEBODY (looking at all you collectors, hehehe) would want it! Ebay item # 7617522306

ebay sales has been very slow on all kinds of items for the last 3 weeks. No one is buying anything. ebay even gave sellers a 10 cent listing day to get more items listed, but it's not a shortage of items, it's a shortage of buyers. I think everyone is feeling the crunch of gas prices, medical care, utilities, etc. I know that folks like us on fixed income are very concerned about the cost of living.

I bid on a Chambers Stove and the seller yanks it off because it isn't going for enough $$.... I don't think that is fair... The seller should put a reserve on the item if they don't want to sell it cheap.... eh?

    Sammy,

I'm with you, these gas prices are sure making me watch my pennies on other expenses and buying on ebay is one of my luxuries that I'm not doing these days.

    Sammy,

I don't want to get political either.....but what's happening to the middle class? Between gas prices, heating bills that have doubled it seems life's simple pleasures need to be adjusted! Thank goodness for our chambers cooking with the gas off.

Aren't you GLAD that your CHAMBERS "cooks with the gas turned OFF"?

With gas prices souring - natural gas & propane are sure to follow (already have to some extent) - it's GREAT to have a CHAMBERS that uses 1/3-1/2 LESS gas than "ordinary" stoves!

I'm just about to go out to the Mennonite community east of Tulsa, buy a nice used surrey, bring it home, then convert it to be powered with a vintage Gravely walk-behind engine & transmission - I could go for comfortable and roomy transportation around town that gets 40-50 miles per gallon!

At $50 a week for gas just to bring my kid back and forth to school, plus newly assessed property taxes that more than double what we had been paying, yes, we are cutting back big time.

I'm really resisting belching out any political epiteths right now, so I better stop right here.

So here we are. It's sad to hear that others are in the same boat as Randie and I, but it is good company! I agree on not getting political here, although, we are "yellow dog" democrats. that wasn't political , was it?

you know i think ebay sales are down mostly due to gas price as well. lets face it most chambers are a pick up only so you have to live close to make it worth your while. shipping theese are not going to be cheap. as i found out. i get to pick mine up next week saturday. it is about a 4 hour drive each way. hope its worth it...
